Nathalie De Sutter has been selected to participate at the tcworld conference 2012 as a speaker. CrossLang's proposal "A (terminology) service layer for Moses SMT" has been approved by the conference advisory board. During the presentation, the deployment of Moses SMT for translation production usage will be discussed.
Using Moses SMT to translate is described thoroughly in tutorials and mailing lists. Using it to do exactly what you want in a business context, however, is less documented. This presentation deals with various aspects involved in harnessing Moses SMT and making it more deterministic. We will present a production system that allows users to take the highly academic system out of the lab and put it at the heart of a real-life translation and localization environment, including full support for terminology handling, named entity recognition, real casing and other text engineering capabilities.
The presentation will be held on Thursday 25 November at 15:30h in room 12D.
The tekom annual conference, together with the tcworld and tekom fair, is the largest global event and market place for technical communication. The conference takes place in Wiesbaden, Germany, from 23-25 October 2012. The full conference programme can be found here.
