The Inter-industry Conference is a three-day event that will take place from Friday 16 April to Sunday 18 April 2010, set in the heart of Tolkien country in the pleasant leafy setting of Spring Hill College in Moseley.

The event aims at bringing together individuals and companies working within or involved with the Translation industry. A true meeting of minds from the world of IT, publication, and representatives of various key industries and of major translation organisations and bodies in the UK.
The conference is designed with an interactive, hands-on approach in mind. Rather than lectures, small workshops with demonstrations will be held to discuss the function of CAT tools and other software issues, vital tools in the everyday work of translation professionals.
The 1-hour workshops will be repeated during the day depending on the number of people registering to attend them, keeping in mind that each classroom can take on up to 25 people. The idea is to increase the benefit of the interaction of small groups on learning and the possibility to offer more adaptable contents, depending on the interaction between facilitator and attendees.
CrossLang will host their workshops on Translation Project Management and Machine Translation on the Corporate Day (Friday 16 April) . As a consequence, the contents offered that day will primarily cater for the needs of translation agencies and companies.
