OCPE, Bureau of Professional Education for sworn translators and interpreters, are organising their 1st Local Conference, entitled "Translation Technology: Opportunities or Threats?”. The conference will take place on April 4th in Utrecht-Nieuwegein at NBC Congress Centre.
“Translation Technology – Opportunities or Threats?” will give an overview of the latest technologies employed in the translation and interpreting sectors while showing the translators and interpreters how to best integrate them in their workflow. Internationally renowned speakers, from the Netherlands and abroad, will address the dramatic impact that technology is having on the translator’s working milieu and will share insights on how to transform threats into profitable opportunities.
The conference will address a wide range of topics from the Interpreters versus Technology, Terminology Services in the Cloud, Trends in Localization, and Quality Assurance to the controversial topics of MT and Post-Editing and Copyright Issue of the Translation Memory Databases.
Translators, interpreters, students and other professionals from the Netherlands, Flanders and neighboring countries, eager to learn more about technology in translation, are welcome to attend.
